About Djerba Airport

Full name of the airport is International Airport Djerba-Zarzis and uses IATA code DJE and ICAO code DTTJ. It is managed by L’Office de l’aviation civile et des aéroports.

Airport is located about nine kilometres west of Houmt Souk (the capital city), near a smaller town Mellita. Airport started serving in 1970 to bring tourists directly to the Djerba Island.

Zarzis Airport has one terminal, which was upgraded in 2007 and now has three levels. Airport capacity is more than 4 million passengers per year.

Getting Around

There are over 650 parking lots available at the airport if you come by car. There are public bus lines, but taxi is very inexpensive way to travel around. Or you can rent a car and start discovering the island on your own. Read more about transport & directions>

Allow enough time to check-in on time. We recommend you arrive to the airport at least 2 hours before your plane departs.

Prepare for security check, so you don’t lose time unpacking and repacking items and extending the wait lines.
